Located in the center of the Caribbean archipelago between Guadeloupe and Martinique, the island of Dominica will surprise you with its pristine landscapes. This 750 km² island will delight hiking, diving and wildlife enthusiasts - in short, anyone with an adventurous spirit. It has nine dormant volcanoes, over 365 rivers and is the most mountainous of the Caribbean islands. The main city and capital is Roseau.
On the bangs of modern civilization, Dominica is a land of adventure, still home to some 3,000 Caribbean Indians.
This island of six types of tropical forest will surprise you with its impressive waterfalls such as Trafalgar Falls, over 35 meters high, its mountain lakes such as Boiling Lake and Freshwater Lake, and its many volcanic edifices such as Morne Trois Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
